The wages, benefits, working conditions, staffing levels, and contracts of our members are decided by elected officials. Local 1689 is committed to pursuing positive relationships with these elected officials to educate and inform them of the needs of our members and the impacts on the community we serve. Endorsements we make are based directly on the issues that have an impact on our members. We ask our members to be informed, be involved, and recognize the importance of these relationships.
